MGA Cheer Extreme Announces Plans To Reopen

While we are excited to see all our amazing athletes back in the gym, we want to make sure that we are focused on the safety of our MGA athletes and staff members.  Currently, MGA Cheer Extreme will reopen on May 4th, 2020.  By waiting for an additional two weeks, this will give us time to evaluate how these new government standards will affect the people in our communities.  It has always been MGA’s policy to do what is best for all of our MGA athletes, family members, and staff.  Provided there is not an increase in COVID-19 cases in middle Georgia,  it is our intension on opening under our Phase 1 plan with limited class sizes as alternating class hours.   For details regarding MGA Cheer Extreme’s COVID-19 Phase plan, read below.

MGA Phase 1:

Home Training Program- $30 a month

MGA will offer online tumbling classes via its new at-home Gymnastics and Tumbling Program. 

    • Students get access to our new at-home learning program
    • Students get access to myskillchart.com so you can upload your athlete’s skill via video and get feedback from an instructor.
    • An instructor will set up a zoom call once a month to cover the athlete’s progress

Classes-$65 a month once a week

  • MGA will offer 2 tumbling classes with a maximum of 5 athletes per class, every other hour starting at 1:00 pm.  This format will have 1 instructor per class for a total of 2 class instructors, one instructor streaming the class for parents, and one staff member checking athletes in. This will be a maximum of 13 people in 11,000 square feet.   Each class will last 55 minutes, which will leave MGA 45 minutes to disinfect mats and surfaces that students have touched and 15 minutes to get the next class in the building.
  • Other Safty Measures

    • Parents will not be allowed to come into the building (you can stream our classes live on our youtube page) 
    • Athletes will need to be dropped off at the back door.  There will be square mats place 6 feet apart for athletes to stand while waiting to get temperature checked.  Athletes will walk in through the roll-up door.
    • MGA will prop the front doors, so athletes can exit without touching the front doors.
    • Athletes will have temperatures checked, and any athlete with a temperature of 99℉ or higher will be sent home.
    • Classes will be broken up as follow

      • Intro/100
      • 200
      • 300
      • 400-600
    • Athletes will work individually at stations that are 6 to 10 square feet away from other athletes.
    • The athlete will only be able to use the restroom 1 at a time
    • Athletes will be responsible for bringing his/her own water
    • Staff will not spot athletes but will provide instruction and use equipment to build their skills from a 6-foot distance.
    • Credit cards must be on file and will be charged before you can start the first class
    • If your athlete misses a class, your athlete will lose their spot.
    • Equipment will be cleaned between each class
    • Trials will be done by appointment only
    • Privates can be done on Saturday and Sunday per instructor’s availability and time.

Because space will be limited, it is important that you sign up early to reserve your spot.

MGA Phase 2: 

We will offer our new at-home gymnastics and tumbling program along with school tumbling classes, and competitive team practices.  The focus will be on no more than 50 athletes in the gym at a time.

Classes-Normal MGA Contract Pricing

  • MGA will offer individual tumbling classes, school cheer classes, and competitive teams.

    • Unlimited tumbling packages will resume

Other Safty Measures

      • Equipment will be cleaned nightly
