I hope you are getting as excited as we are about kicking off MGA’s 25th season! I hope you had time to read over yesterday’s email, but in the event that you missed it, simply click here to read all the valuable information. Did you know that it pays to tell your friends about MGA? MGA will give you a $30 credit on your account for each friend that signs up for this year’s skill evaluations. Whether they are on our novice, regional, or elite level teams, you get the credit. Please see our front desk staff for more details.
For years people have said, “I want to do all-stars, but I don’t have the time or I don’t feel like I am good enough.” Well, MGA heard you and we listened! This year at skill evaluations, we have 3 different levels of teams. Each of these teams has different philosophies, commitment levels, and pricing structures.
If you are a parent who wants your child involved in a team sport that is going to build confidence and help develop your child’s social skills without the stress of competitions, then MGA’s Novice program is perfect for you! MGA’s Novice program is designed for boys and girls ages 3-12 who are just getting their start into competitive cheerleading. Because the team is not ranked against other teams, this allows the staff to focus on building a solid foundation without the stress of competition. Novice teams will practice only once a week for 1.5 hours and attend two local competitions.
Are you ready to start competing, but feel like your life is too busy for travel cheerleading? If so, MGA’s Regional Teams are perfect for you. MGA’s regional teams practice twice a week and will compete 3-4 times at local one-day events (click here to see a schedule of events). This means your child gets the thrill of performing on the stage and the busy parent will have time to watch your athlete’s passion start to ignite. While MGA’s regional team is a moderate commitment level, your child will enjoy the same quality training as our elite-level teams, while still learning MGA’s 6 core values: accountability, commitment, determination, discipline, effort, and family. These 6 core values will make your athlete #MGASTRONG.
Elite Level Teams
Are you a current competitive cheerleader? Do you want to cheer at your middle school, high school, and one day in college? If so, then MGA has the area’s best and most competitive elite level teams in Middle Georgia. Our elite level teams are perfect for the highly competitive athlete and parent alike. MGA’s elite level teams teach kids that through using 6 core values: accountability, commitment, determination, discipline, effort, and family; you can achieve your goals. MGA’s elite teams practice 2-3 times a week, will attend 6 competitions, and will travel outside the state 1 to 2 times (click here to see a schedule of events). MGA’s elite level teams will pursue post-season events with the goal of being the best in the country. Because MGA is the largest all-star program in the Middle Georgia area, your athlete will be on a team with kids his/her same age and skill level.
When will Teams be Released
One of the biggest questions we get is when will we know what team my athlete is on and how will I be notified which team my child is on? MGA will send out an email on Monday, May 11th by 7 pm. This email will have important information regarding team placement, practice days and times, as well as parent meetings. In the event our email goes to your spam folder, we will post the results on MGA’s blog sections of our website. Team placement will be posted based on your child’s tryout number that will be handed out at their stunt clinic and their skill evaluation day. Every child should be placed on a team, so if you do not receive an email and/or you do not see your child’s number on our blog, simply call the gym Tuesday after 2:00 pm
This is an exciting time of the year, and we are looking forward to another great year as MGA heads into our 25th season of helping make kids #mgastrong. It is our goal to become a village for your child, to help raise your child, and to teach your child important life lessons. If there is anything we can do to make sure our village is the right place for you and your athlete, don’t hesitate to contact me directly.
